Customer Care and Order Processing

How We Process Your Order

When you place an order through our website or via email, we begin processing it immediately. Most orders ship within 1 to 3 business days. Custom orders require design approval before cutting, so the timeline for those starts from the moment you approve your design preview.

We will send you a confirmation email when your order is placed and a shipping notification with tracking information when your bookends leave our facility. Both emails include everything you need to monitor your delivery.

Accurate Information Matters

To process your order correctly, we need accurate information from you. This includes your shipping address, email address and phone number. If you provide incorrect information, delivery delays are your responsibility, not ours. Check everything twice before you complete checkout.

If you notice an error before your order ships, contact us immediately at support@decorativebookends.com. We may be able to fix it. If your order has already shipped, you can use our return and exchange process once it arrives.

How We Communicate With You

We communicate via email. That is where you will receive your order confirmation, shipping notification and tracking information. You may also receive emails about your custom design approval, special offers or important updates about your account.

Make sure the email address you provide is one you check regularly. If you miss important communications, it is not our fault, but we will help you sort it out. Just reply or email support@decorativebookends.com.

We do not cold-call customers. If someone from our team needs to reach you about your order, it will be via email first.

Custom Design Orders Have Special Terms

Custom orders are not made until you approve the design preview. Once you approve it, the order is final. We will cut your design, finish it and ship it. At that point, you own it. Custom and personalized items cannot be returned or exchanged except for legitimate defects in manufacturing or shipping damage.

This protects both of us. You get exactly what you asked for because we show you a preview first. We do not end up with leftover custom pieces we cannot sell.

If you approve a design but then change your mind before we cut it, contact us immediately at support@decorativebookends.com. We may be able to cancel, but we make no promises since our team may have already started the work.

Intellectual Property and Design Rights

Your Custom Design

If you send us a photo, sketch or description for a custom bookend, you are telling us it is yours to use or that you have permission to use it. We are not responsible if you send us something you do not own the rights to.

We will use your image only to create your custom bookend. We will not use it for marketing, display or any other purpose without your explicit permission.

Our Designs and Trademarks

Everything we design, cut and sell is our intellectual property. You own the physical bookends you purchase. You do not own the right to reproduce our designs, manufacture them yourself or sell them to others.

All Modern Krafts Technologies branding, logos and website content are protected by copyright. Do not copy, modify or use them without our permission.

User-Generated Content

If you share photos of your bookends on social media and tag us, we may repost your photo to our pages. We will credit you and link to your account. If you do not want your photo shared, let us know and we will respect that.

Website Use and Conduct

You Agree To Use Our Website Lawfully

Do not use our website to:

• Harass, threaten or abuse our team
• Submit false or misleading information
• Attempt to hack, disrupt or interfere with our systems
• Scrape, copy or steal our content
• Engage in any illegal activity

We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel orders or ban users who violate these terms.

We Are Not Liable For Third-Party Sites

Our website may link to other websites. We are not responsible for those sites, their content or their practices. Read their terms and privacy policies if you visit them.

Product Descriptions

We describe our bookends as accurately as we can. Photos are real. Dimensions are accurate. But screens display colors differently and angles can be deceiving. If a bookend arrives and it looks materially different than advertised, contact us. We will handle it.

Pricing, Payment and Taxes

Prices

Our prices are subject to change without notice. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay. Sales tax is calculated and added based on your shipping address and our business location.

Payment Methods

We accept all major credit cards and PayPal. Payment is processed when you complete your order. If payment is declined, your order will not process.

We use industry-standard encryption to protect your payment information. We never store your full credit card number on our servers.

Sales Tax

Depending on your location and state tax laws, sales tax may apply. Tax is calculated automatically at checkout and shown before you finalize your purchase. You are responsible for paying any applicable taxes.

Promotional Codes

Promotional codes are valid only as stated at the time of offer. We reserve the right to void any code that is used fraudulently or outside the terms of the promotion. One code per order unless stated otherwise.

What We Cannot Control

Modern Krafts Technologies is not responsible for:

• Damage to packages after they leave our facility
• Lost packages once they are in transit

We are responsible for packing carefully and shipping securely. Once your package is picked up by the carrier, responsibility transfers to them and their insurance.

Our Liability

Our liability is limited to the price you paid for the item. We will not pay for lost wages, emotional distress, business losses or any indirect damages. This is industry standard and we apply it fairly.

If there is a genuine problem with your order, we will refund your money or replace your item. That is our commitment.

Wholesale Terms and Bulk Orders

We Work With Resellers

If you are interested in purchasing bookends in bulk for resale, we offer wholesale pricing. This is separate from our regular customer terms.

Minimum Order

Wholesale orders require a minimum of 10 units per design. This helps us allocate manufacturing capacity fairly.

Wholesale Pricing

Pricing depends on quantity and which designs you order. Email support@decorativebookends.com with details about your business and what you are interested in. We will provide a quote.

Wholesale pricing is not available to individuals buying for personal use, even if they claim they are resellers.

Payment Terms

Wholesale orders require a 50% deposit to begin production. The remaining balance is due before shipment. We accept bank transfer and all major credit cards.

Lead Time

Wholesale orders typically take 2 to 4 weeks from deposit to shipment. During high-volume periods, lead time may be longer. We will confirm timeline before you commit.

Bulk Shipping

Shipping costs are calculated based on weight and destination. We will provide an exact quote before you finalize your order.

Wholesale Returns

Wholesale orders are final. We accept returns only for defective or damaged items. Minor scratches or cosmetic imperfections that are normal in fabrication are not grounds for return.

Refunds and Dispute Resolution

Refund Policy Overview

Refunds for ready-made designs are available within 30 days of delivery. Custom orders are final and non-refundable. Damaged or defective items are replaced or refunded regardless of timeline.

Refund Timeline

Refunds are processed within 5 to 7 business days of us receiving and inspecting your return. Refunds go back to your original payment method. Your bank may take an additional 3 to 5 business days to post the refund.

Chargebacks

If you file a chargeback with your payment provider instead of contacting us first, you are violating this agreement. We will respond to chargebacks and dispute them. If you win the dispute, we will also ban your account.

We fix problems for our customers. But we need the chance to do that. Contact us first at support@decorativebookends.com. We respond fast.

Disclaimers and Warranties

Product Warranty

Our bookends are made from high-grade steel with a durable powder coat. We warrant that they will function as described and are free from manufacturing defects for one year from the date of purchase.

This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. It does not cover normal wear, misuse, damage from accidents or modifications made by you.

No Other Warranties

We make no other warranties, express or implied. We do not warrant that our products will meet your specific needs or that they will never scratch, dent or show wear.

As-Is Purchases

Unless specifically covered under warranty or our return policy, all items are sold as-is. If something goes wrong with your bookend and it is not our fault, the risk is yours.

Termination and Account Suspension

We Can Terminate Your Access

We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel orders or terminate your access to our website if you:

• Repeatedly file false chargebacks or disputes

What Happens If We Terminate

If we terminate your account, we will stop processing your orders. Any pending order will be cancelled and refunded. We will not be liable for any losses.

These terms and conditions and your use of our website are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved under US law.

We Prefer To Solve Problems

Before pursuing any legal action, we ask that you contact us at support@decorativebookends.com and give us a reasonable chance to resolve the issue. Most problems can be solved with a conversation.

Arbitration

Any legal disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration rather than court. This is faster and less expensive for everyone. Arbitration will be conducted in English and according to US arbitration rules.

By placing an order with us, you agree to this arbitration clause.

Small Claims Court Exception

Notwithstanding the arbitration clause above, you may pursue claims in small claims court if the claim is within that court's jurisdiction.

Severability

If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that part is severed and the rest of these terms remain in effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, along with our Shipping and Returns Policy and Privacy Policy, make up the entire agreement between you and Modern Krafts Technologies. No other promises or agreements exist outside of these written terms.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on our website. Your continued use of our site and purchases from us mean you accept the updated terms.
