The Story Behind Your Decorative Bookends
Back in 2022, our founding team kept running into the same small frustration. Every bookend on the market seemed to fall into one of two camps. Either it was cheap and slid around the moment you added a third hardcover, or it was expensive and looked like it belonged in a museum gift shop rather than a real home. Nothing felt personal. Nothing felt made for the way people actually live with their books.
So we decided to make our own. What started as a handful of laser-cut steel designs shared with friends grew into Modern Krafts Technologies, a design studio dedicated to creating unique bookends and metal accessories that people genuinely love displaying.
Four years and more than 2,000 orders later, that original frustration still drives everything we make.

Precision laser cutting brings our vision into high-grade steel, followed by hand-checking and powder coating to ensure each piece stands up to daily handling.
