Bookends seem like a strange subject to blog about but bookends can extremely interesting. When I started the website BookendSale.com all I cared about was selling more merchandise. I can't help the fact that I am a born merchant. But over a few weeks time, I stated getting more interested in bookends. We started to write articles about bookends to attract the bots and come up high in the search engines. As we wrote bookend blurbs, bookends began to become more interesting.
There seems to be no end to the choice of materials and subjects that bookends are cast into. Most people have books and bookends lend a help in decorating living space. I have now become aware of another whole bookend genre, collectible bookends. My website has started to collect for sale, limited edition bookends and bookends from factories long closed. It is my assumption that if you are a collector or if someone wants to give someone special a gift that they don't already have, everyone can make use of a good pair of expensive, collectible and tasteful bookends.
Take for instance the Frankenstein bookends that we are putting on our website soon. These bookends have Frankenstein on one end and the bride of Frankenstein on the other end. Word is that they only made 200 sets of these some years ago and if you are a Frankenstein fan, they are very collectible. They are pricey but the gift recipient will be amazed at the thought that went into these.
